When we arrived in Texas in 2009, we had little more than dreams and determination. While I waited anxiously for my bar exam results, unemployed and uncertain about our future, Julie took action without hesitation. She found a job earning minimum wage and tirelessly clipped coupons to stretch our limited resources. Despite our challenges, Julie never complained; instead, she chose to spread kindness like a lantern, turning strangers into friends, lending her heart to our church community, and nurturing bonds that endure today.

Rooted in Love and Service

Leaving the beautiful mountains of Logan, Utah, Julie courageously planted deep roots here—not for herself, but for us. Far from family and familiar comforts, she raised our five children with grace and resilience. Yet her compassion extends beyond our own; Julie intuitively senses the quiet struggles of others, especially fellow mothers, easing burdens before they’re even spoken. When I ask why she welcomes yet another child into our bustling home, she simply smiles, saying, "It's good for our children to have friends." In truth, she is quietly lifting burdens, bringing relief and hope to those around her.
